A public pledge — read aloud at every Opening, signed by the holder, and grown up alongside them. This is what we promise, before we ever ask anyone else to trust us.

I will understand the machines I use — their power and their limits — and I will not claim certainty I do not have.
I will be honest about when and how I use them: in my work, my words, and my name.
I will use them to help and not to harm, and where the stakes are high, I will keep a human hand on the decision — mine.
I will guard the privacy and dignity of others as carefully as my own.
I will keep learning as the machines change, and renew what I claim to know.
And when I am able, I will teach — so that what I have learned outlives my using of it.

Custodial Note
Status. Ratified by the Founder in July 2026 as the first creative artifact of implementation under Experience Specification v1.0. Both registers close on the identical couplet by design — the Oath’s signature phrase, spoken at every ceremony in the canon.
Ceremonial use. The Oath is read aloud at every Opening — by the holder, or with the holder. The signing constitutes the first two Journey Events of every Passport (Opening; Oath). The Child’s Register is re-signed as the Full Register at the Sovereignty Transfer, and the earlier signature is preserved beside it, permanently: the promise, and the promise grown up, on facing pages.
Translation. Every translation carries equal ceremonial standing. The couplet’s meaning — earned, and true — is the translation’s fixed star.
